New Training Course in August

AMS presents a four-day training class at the AMS Technology Center. The course is located at AMS Corporation, 9119 Cross Park Drive, Knoxville, TN and will be held from August 7 – 10, 2012.

The course will be covering two main topics:

1. Rod Control System Operation, Signal Tracing, Troubleshooting, Diagnostics, and Health Monitoring

2. DRPI and ARPI Testing, Troubleshooting, Diagnostics, and Health Monitoring

Maintenance of Process Instrumentation in Nuclear Power Plants, by H.M. Hashemian. This book (published November 2006) is written for the instrumentation and control engineers, technicians, and managers in nuclear power plants. It focuses on process temperature and pressure sensors and the verification of these sensors’ calibration and response time. It also provides examples of typical problems and solutions with temperature and pressure measurements in nuclear power plants.

The resurgence of the nuclear power industry at a time when the nuclear plant I&C workforce is diminishing due to aging and retirements has been the motivation for writing this book. This book compiles 30 years of practical knowledge gained by the author and his staff in testing the I&C systems of nuclear power plants around the world. It focuses on process temperature and pressure sensors and the verification of these sensors’ calibration and response time.
