Hash co-founded AMS in 1977 and acquired the entire company in 1985. He specializes in process instrumentation, online condition monitoring of industrial equipment, predictive maintenance, development of automated test equipment, and technical training.
 
Hash has three doctorate degrees, including a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering, a Doctor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering, and a Ph.D. in engineering science. He has written two books: one published in the United States by the International Society of Automation (ISA), and the other published in Germany by Springer Verlag. These books have been translated into Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian. In addition, he has authored over 50 peer reviewed journal and magazine articles, 200 conference papers, 10 book chapters, 15 U.S. patents, 10 NUREG/CR series of reports for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and a number of reports, guidelines and standards for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and ISA.
 
Dr. Hashemian is a Fellow of ISA, a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), a member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS), and a member of the European Nuclear Society (ENS). He has worked for the nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and other industries as well as the U.S. government, including the NRC, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Air Force, Navy, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He has served as a lecturer, keynote speaker, and chairman or co-chairman of numerous national and international conferences.

Dan D. Beverly
Technical Officer / QA Manager

Mr. Beverly is the Chief Technical Officer at AMS and also serves as the Quality Assurance Manager. He holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee and has worked for AMS since 1987. He was just recently named the Chief Technical Officer at AMS, but has served the company as Q.A. Manager since December 1988. He is involved in all technical areas of the company and in addition to his Quality Assurance duties he participates in other company activities including electrical design and development, field testing, research and is an experienced training course instructor.
 
Mr. Beverly has been active in the International Society of Automation (ISA) and served as the president of the local chapter of ISA in the mid-1990s. He has authored or co-authored a number of technical publications including a report for the Nuclear Maintenance Assistance Center (NMAC) of the Electric Power Research Institution (EPRI) as well as research and development reports for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He is co-inventor of a special testing method for the nuclear industry that resulted in a US Patent.

Mehrad Hashemian (Rad)

Rad Hashemian has a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has worked for AMS since 1982. He has performed over six hundred series of in-plant tests in nuclear power plants around the world and is the company’s most senior field test engineer. He also serves the company in R&D projects, analysis of field testing data, laboratory testing services and AMS public relation and product marketing.

Jan Ghorashi
Human Resources / Operations Executive

Ms. Ghorashi is in charge of human resources as well as company development and operations. She graduated from the East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and has over twenty years experience. She has traveled the world and has held executive positions in major international companies in Knoxville as well as supporting several entrepreneurial enterprises. She holds the Senior Professional Human Resource Certification awarded by the HR Certification Institute. The HR Certification Institute is the credentialing body for human resource professionals and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest organization dedicated exclusively to the human resource profession.

Darrell W. Mitchell

Mr. Mitchell is AMS’ Technical Services Manager, responsible for technical interface with clients, scheduling of field and laboratory tests, preparation of proposals, contract negotiations, and technical sales. He is also involved with marketing of all AMS products including the AMS OLM program for PWR and BWR nuclear power plants, and commercialization of products developed during AMS R&D projects.
 
Mr. Mitchell is a fully qualified senior test engineer responsible for performance of control and safety system testing at nuclear power plants and also provides oversight of R&D and laboratory projects. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and is AMS’ senior engineer for balance of plant analysis and qualified for process physical modeling for on-line calibration verification of process instrumentation channels in nuclear power plants.

Greg W. Morton
Software Development Manager

Mr. Morton is responsible for all the software development activities at AMS. He has a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the Tennessee Technological University. He joined AMS in 1995 as a software developer and was elevated to manager of the software development in 1998. He obtained a patent in 2002 for a nuclear reactor rod drop time testing method.
 
Mr. Morton has worked on nearly 100 successful software development projects at AMS. He also maintains his LabVIEW Developer Certification and has successfully standardized all the AMS software onto a single development platform.

Mr. Kermit Phipps

Mr. Phipps is the director of EMC services for AMS Corporation. He was formerly with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and held the position of Project Engineer/Scientist specializing in electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC) and power quality (PQ). He has more than 25 years of experience in civilian research, consulting service, and technical military service. He is certified as an EMC engineer by the International Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers (iNARTE).

Dara Cummins
Engineering Manager

Dara Cummins is an Engineering Manager for AMS. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas with a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
 
Following her graduation from the US Air Force Academy, Dara served as a financial and engineering officer specializing in military satellite technologies from development and launch, to on-orbit operations. This was followed by eight years as a reservoir analyst and database development engineer for a petroleum exploration company in Fort Worth, Texas.
 
For the last ten years she has been an Instrument and Controls Engineer at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, and most recently a System Engineering Manager for the HVAC/Electrical team at the Plant.
 
Dara is actively engaged with the Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NRC), the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators (INPO), the Pressurized Water Reactors Owner’s Group (PWROG), and Women in Nuclear (WIN) organization.
